Morning Stretch & Pray

Stretch and Pray (A Daily Discipline for Physical and Spiritual Wellness) created by Bishop Murray Fink, will be offered from 6:15 a.m. — 6:45 a.m. on Friday and Saturday mornings. Join facilitator Rebecca Westfield, and start your day with some low-impact stretching and high impact prayer. 

Each new posture, stretch or exercise will be demonstrated. Our time together will end with six prayer postures — adoration, confession, absolution, petition, intercession and contemplation. 

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that are easy to move in. Also, some of the stretches and prayer poses will be done on the floor (please bring a towel or mat if you wish). 

About our Facilitator:

Rebecca Westfield, received her Master of Arts degree in Congregational Care: Faith and Health Ministries, from Luther Seminary in St Paul, Minnesota. In January, Rebecca joined the ELCA Board of Pensions as Wellness Associate, supporting the wellness initiatives of the ELCA. Rebecca is a certified yoga instructor, and has been teaching for Yogadevotion, a Christian based yoga company since 2005.
